Community Involvement
Segue takes an active interest in our community, following a philosophy that success and growth are closely tied to the people, organizations, and businesses with whom we are neighbors. As we've grown, we've looked for ways to support our community. Working to support the health and well-being of others is rewarding on a personal level for our employees, in addition to further defining “giving back” as a point of pride within Segue’s corporate values. We are active in several professional/industry associations and we devote time and resources to supporting charitable organizations.
Community Activities
We have been proud to support Alternative House, a refuge for abused and homeless children.
Segue loves animals, particularly those that need it the most. We developed a mobile application for the AWLA, which helps match homeless pets with potential adopters.
Segue had a great time participating in the AACH annual "Safe at Home" kickball tournament to benefit local homeless people.
Segue enjoys a strong relationship with the area business community via the Arlington Chamber of Commerce, including a Vice Chair position on the Executive Committee.
Segue staff has enjoyed participating in the bagging nights and fundraisers of the Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC), which provides supplemental groceries to families in need.
Active participation in the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) fosters stronger relationships between industry and the Defense community to provide better support for the people and systems that comprise our Nation's defense.
Segue connected with Doorways through "Volunteer Arlington Day", and has provided landscaping, and donations to help families in need.
Segue is a member of the National Capital Area chapter of the Healthcare Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) and are actively building their Young Professionals group.
Segue staff have found participating in the Meals on Wheels program to be a rewarding experience that builds an appreciation for caring for our neighbors and supporting community involvement.
The NVTC is a membership and trade association for the technology community in Northern Virginia. As the largest technology council in the nation, NVTC serves about 1,000 companies from all sectors of the technology industry.
