U.S. Air Force | PECI
HQ U.S. Air Force, Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) Manpower & Personnel, Productivity Enhancing Capital Investment (PECI) Program
The Client
The Productivity Enhancing Capital Investment (PECI) program provides funding and oversight for productivity improvement projects at Air Force bases worldwide. These projects range from simple ideas to true innovations that deliver measurable and positive returns on investment (ROI). In the past five years, PECI has generated a total savings of over $2.6 billion on investments of just over $53.6 million.
The Challenge
The PECI program is supported by a cadre of program managers and analysts located at Air Force bases worldwide. Prior to Segue Technologies’ involvement, this group relied on a legacy program management application that was difficult to use, severely lacking in functionality, and comprised of a disparate set of distributed databases. Without access to timely and accurate data, effective program management was impossible.
The Solution
Segue Technologies implemented a web-based application (PECI PDS) that provided worldwide users with access to a real-time, centralized database. PECI PDS now enables program managers worldwide to effectively budget, fund, manage, track, and report on Air Force productivity programs. PECI PDS has transformed the PECI business process by standardizing data, connecting
PECI analysts, sharing knowledge, and providing timely and reliable information upon which productivity improvements can be accurately measured – furthering the success of the program.
