Position Responsibilities:
The SQL Server Developer will be responsible for analyzing an existing MySQL database, optimizing the dynamic data model for migration to SQL Server, and developing strategies for improved database performance, scalability and data integrity. The ideal candidate will also be able to update existing Java code to utilize new database capabilities. Must be able to consistently meet program objectives and schedules, be analytical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Position Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years recent database development experience
- Minimum 3 years experience using SQL Server 2000/2005
- Strong knowledge of the following:
- SQL, database design, stored procedures, normalization, and referential integrity
- SQL Server administration
- Cross-site replication
- DTS or other data transformation/import
- Preferred candidates will have Java programming experience
- Preferred candidates will have a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DOD SECRET clearance required
