Strategic IT Planning
Segue has defined a unique approach to understanding the software, architecture, current shortcomings, and new functionality needs for our clients' application environments.
We perform an Identification, Analysis, and Recommendation (IAR) to kick-off projects which require substantial planning and foresight for successful implementation and future-proofing. While we typically conduct an IAR when assuming responsibility for a legacy system, we have also performed IARs as stand-alone deliverables. This can both assist you in better understanding your own needs, and provide guidance on solution planning for new products and systems. The three aspects of the IAR process work together to define goals for improvements to make through on-going operations and maintenance, as well as identifying value-added enhancements and functionality for new systems.

Identification: This is fueled by your high-level input as well as Segue’s experience with similar systems. Our project team documents key aspects of the work, as well as any known constraints, to fully define your need and establish a baseline for further analysis.
Analysis: Segue subject matter experts review the key aspects discovered in the Identification effort and provide critical analysis to flesh out shortcomings and areas for improvement.
Recommendation: The analysis results in recommendations for areas of improvement with a legacy system, or how best to integrate a new product with your business goals. This is what gives the IAR applicable value, as it doesn't just poke holes, it offers viable solutions!
