How Long Have You Been Working at Segue?

2 years

What Was Your First Title at Segue?

Project Manager

What is Your Current Title?

Project Manager

What Do You Like About Segue?

The friendly attitude of all the people throughout, no one ever says to me “not my job” and are always helpful whenever I ask a question or need help

How Did Segue Contribute to Your Professional Growth?

I have been doing Project Management, mainly logistical support, decision making systems, classified and unclassified, and also depot repair prioritization support for the Air Force over the last 30 years,  but this was the first financial project I have worked on and the world of finance is very different, challenging, yet very interesting to me all at the same time.

In Your Opinion, Why Should Others Apply to Work at Segue?

Very nice people from top to bottom, all knowledgeable and willing to share and it also encourages professional growth. For example, I was given the opportunity to take a Certified Scrum Master course, which I did and passed, so now besides be a long standing PMP, I am a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and can and do use some of those skills to help manage my project more efficiently. This would also afford me the opportunity to possibly work on other projects that may require this certification.

What is Segue for You?

A place to continue my lengthy career in support of Air Force projects which I have done for over 30 years. It is my way, in my mind, of serving the Air Force the best way I can.

What is Your Greatest Achievement at Segue?

Taking what was a failed development project that I inherited when I first started 2 years ago and receiving the support of senior leadership to get the resources required, both personnel and financial, to bring the project back in line and soon to become a very successful completion.

What Is Your Opinion About Our Culture, Environment, and Work-Life Balance?

I could not ask for a better place to work. The culture is very business-like, but very friendly all at the same time, a unique combination to be sure. The work-life balance, I have always been encouraged to work hard, which I do, but to take time for myself and family when I need it, especially in these difficult COV-19 times. Working from remote can have its challenges, but it also allows me to be close to my family. So, having a great place to work for, a comfortable place to do it and the support of all involved has been ideal for me. I look forward to staying with Segue until I retire.
